Reawaken City Church Mission Statement
Ephesians 4:12 NKJV
[12] for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Deuteronomy 31:12 NKJV
[12] Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the Lord your God and carefully observe all the words of this law,
It is our desire at ReAwaken City Church to grow people in their faith in Jesus Christ!
Learning and developing a strong understanding in our beliefs with the confidence knowing who we are in Christ.
Discovering what we believe and why we believe it .
Becoming equipped to build and grow His Kingdom , learning to share and teach the Words of Jesus that bring life to a very much needed dark world. Always remember that it took only 12 men to change the world .
It’s my desire to not only go on this journey with you, but to grow on this journey with you. Proverbs 27 : 17 tells us that iron sharpens iron . But those irons can not be sharpened if they aren’t in contact with each other. In order for any community to be strong , unshakeable, they must be unified. We will grow in the unity of the Holy Spirit, becoming one with Jesus. Becoming closer to Our Lord, learning who He is and who we are in Him . Regardless of where we are in our walks of Faith. Not dwelling on what we were before Christ . But moving forward together, arm in arm as brothers and sisters. Breaking down our own barriers. Learning from one another. I truly believe that the Holy Spirit gives each of us a different insight on the same subjects that we will be going over.
Jesus tells us…
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13 : 34 – 35.
Sometimes we forget this very important part of being a follower, being a disciple of Jesus. It’s the love that we have for each and every single person that believes. To be devoted to Him and being devoted to one another.
When we first came to faith, I’m sure for many of us the Holy Spirit did His work in us , radically . We felt different, we started to act differently. People start asking ‘what’s wrong with you?’ Well that’s the power of the Holy Spirit that lives inside each of us. We start to live as that living Epistle that we are called to be.
We will grow into this, together.
